Darshakudu Story:

Mahesh (Ashok) wanted to become a director from the childhood. He is extremely passionate about films. He begins his career as a light boy and narrates a story to a producer which eventually becomes an opportunity for him to make his directional debut. But the producer asks Ashok to develop a love story in the film and Ashok decides to do that out of his personal experiences. In the process, he comes across Namratha (Eesha Rebba) and begins incorporating everything that happens in love life to his script. Namratha realises this and she starts hating him. What happens after that? Did Mahesh fulfil his dream of becoming a director and win his love back forms the rest of the film's story.

Darshakudu Performances:

Coming to the performances in Darshakudu, both the lead actors did their best to come up with some impressive performances. Both of them has some good screen presence which is a positive thing. Ashok, the newcomer is good and he should work on his body language and histrionics, so that, he can have a good career here. Eesha Rebba is beautiful and did well in the role of a costume designer. Noel Sean has got a good role and he impressed in it. All the other actors have got the limited roles and they made their presence felt.

Darshakudu Analysis:

When it comes to the first half of the film, the film starts off with a very good and interesting point. The movie introduces all the characters very well and the passion of a small kid is very well established in the first sequence. His wish of becoming a director was registered very well with everyone. There is no much struggle that was shown in the film. The makers already said that they are not going to reveal such sequences in the film but it could have been good if there are some scenes as such which brings in some naturality into the plot. After a point, the film became routine.

The film progresses with some routine sequences with the heroine and the audiences will feel bored of the slow narration. The theme of the film is very much predictable and the challenging task for the director is to present it well without bringing boredom to the audiences. But, the director here failed to keep the patience levels of the audiences in control and offers nothing exciting in the primary half of the movie. The story or the central point of the film is impressive but there is a fault with the execution.

As the film moves on, the story line also becomes uninteresting and the narration falls flat. The lead actors tried their best to add some interest with their performances which was not successful completely. There are some conflict scenes in the film which came out really well. The second half has some best moments in the form of the scenes. When the flow has set right in the second half, the item song and the half baked climax sequence will ruin everything. Comparatively, the second half of the film is good than the first half of the film.

The film has a good technical team. Praveen Anumolu is the cinematographer of the film who has presented the actors in a beautiful manner. The framing was excellent in the film. The editing is good. The music by Sai Karthik failed to impress. The BGM is also not good. The new producers who teamed up with Sukumar tried their best in maintaining good production values. Sukumar who came up with the interesting concept with debut production venture disappointed with this second one.

Darshakudu Positive Aspects:

+ Performances
+ Camera Work
+ Story Line

Darshakudu Negative Aspects:

- Screenplay

- Direction
- Music

Darshakudu Verdict:

Coming from Sukumar Writings banner, the film Darshakudu is a big disappointment for all of us who expect some good entertainment. With poor script and weak execution, the film offers routine stuff.
