Nandamuri Kalyan Ram turns as a reel MLA which refers to him as Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbayi in the movie MLA. His last attempt in the form of ISM movie miserably failed at the box office and it pushes him to come up with an action-entertainer this time.

Well, this MLA movie gives him the much-needed hit at the box office is discussed in the MLA movie review below.

Story:

Kalyan Ram is a happy go lucky man in nature happens to meet the Kajal Aggarwal in Bengaluru. Coincidentally they both meet multiple times without their knowledge and it makes Kalyan Ram fall for Kajal as he thinks there is a magical bond between them. Later the things take U-Turn as Kajal Aggarwal comes as CEO of his company.

Even then, he tries to impress her. In the course of time, a land belonging to their company lands in trouble and Kajal throws a challenge at Kalyan Ram to solve the problem. She sets a deal with him to accept his love proposal if he clears the problem.

Will Kalyan Ram able to solve the problem? Will he win the love of Kajal Aggarwal? These questions would unfold on the silver screen.

Actors & Performances:

Kalyan Ram: He played the role of MLA (Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbayi) on screen and he effortlessly pulled out this character so well. We will see the fun side of him and he became a success in entertaining the audience.

Kajal Aggarwal: She played the role of love interest and unfortunately she doesn’t have any scope to show her acting. However, her beauty is an asset to the film.

Ravi Kishan: He portrayed the stereotype villain in the film. He did his best for the role.

Posani Krishnamurali: He played the lusty CEO role and his comedy timing creates some fun in the movie.

Brahmanandam: He acted in a criminal lawyer role and the Thalaiva BGM given to his role is kickass.

Prithvi: He is limited to a certain extent as the fun part is being led by the protagonist. Even though, he takes space to entertain us.

Analysis:

Upendra Madhav - A well-known script associate who is having 8 films as a writer under his belt gave his first shot as a director with this film MLA. His experience of writing comedy worked for this film in most of the scenes. Especially, the scenes of Posani, Brahmanandam & Prithvi will provide enough laughter in the theatre.

Coming to the script, it is a routine commercial entertainer story which was laced with fun elements in the first half & some political touch in the second half. The interval twist is well conceived and the other good thing in the script is fun portions.

He tries his best to engage the audience with necessary emotions wherever the script required. Yes, this film being a commercial entertainer, he couldn’t control to capture some unnecessary action sequences. We could leave them if we enjoy the entertainment scenes.

The major flaw in the whole is the placement of songs and it would be clearly seen that director failed to include the songs in the screenplay in right portions.

Plus Points:

+ Interval Twist
+ Entertainment Scenes

Minus Point:

- Songs Placement
- Regular Commercial Story

Final Verdict:

MLA- Mass Lakshanalunna Cinema. Must watch for commercial movie lovers.
