Story Line:

Seetha Mahalakshmi (Sumitra) belongs to a joint family. The members of the family get parted in a clash. The clash occurs because of property sharing and seeing them quarrel for money, Surya Narayana (Chalapathi Rao) gets very upset and dies.

After Surya Narayana's death, the family members start their own journeys and cut off all the contacts. After 20 years, Santhosh who is brought up by his grandmom tries to clear off the clashes between the members of the family.

Roles and Performances:

This movie is a proof that an actor like Rao Ramesh is like a spinal cord for family emotions and related sequences. His role is one of the best roles in Ammammagarillu. As a contractor and a temperamental hero, he shines.

Naga Shaurya has done a very good job as Santhosh. Shivaji Raja, Sumitra, Ravi Prakash, Sudha etc were good in their limits. A good teamwork.

Analysis:

Ammammagarillu is a routine family story, with same relationships, sentiments, and stuff. But, this movie is made in a touching way. With emotions close to each of our hearts, Ammammagarillu reminds us of our childhood, family relationships, clashes(if any), misunderstandings, togetherness etc.

It is not something new that movies come up with this storyline. It is the way the relationships are portrayed that it makes Ammammagarillu a good movie.

Technical Aspects:

The director has done a good job in the portrayal of family emotions. He keeps us grabbed. The family sentiments and drama around is well-written. Good music complementing the narration. The cinematography by Rasool is good. Technical values are good.

Plus Points:

+ Naga Shaurya, Rao Ramesh
+ Good Comedy
+ Family Emotions

Minus Points:

- Routine Family Drama
- Dragged screenplay

Final Verdict: A watchable family drama.
