Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan who recently who shot to fame with the 'Mahanati' in Tollywood has now came up with a romantic period drama 'Sitaramam'. Hanu Raghavapudi of 'Padi Padi Leche Manasu' film wielded the megaphone for this project.

Rashmika Mandanna, Tharun Bhascker and Sumanth played crucial roles in the film. Amid high expectations, the film finally hit the theatres on August 5, 2022 and has been receiving positive response from the audience. The female lady of the movie Mrunal Thakur has also been receiving so much of critical acclaim and appreciation for her performance in the movie.

But did you know that she was not the first choice for that role? Interestingly, the director approached star beauty Pooja Hegde to play the female lead in the movie. But due to dates issue, the actress rejected the film and then the director went to Mrunal Thakur.

It is evident that Pooja Hegde has missed a golden opportunity as the movie has now became a big blockbuster. On the other hand, Mrunal got a beautiful debut with 'Sitaramam' in Tollywood.
