Karthikeya Gummanakonda is coming up with an exciting film called Hippi. The film released today and he is confident of scoring a big hit again. TN Krishna directed the film while Kalaipuli S Thanu is the producer of the movie. The movie's review is here. Check it out

Story:
Dev (Karthikeya) loves Sneha (Jazba Singh) but after seeing Sneha's friend Amuktamalyada (Digangana Suryavanshi) he falls for her as well. He tries to impress Amuktamalyada and after a series of incidents, Amuktamalyada also starts loving him. But she keeps a condition that he should do whatever she asks for. Everything goes well but because of some misunderstandings, the duo parts their way. Did they ever get back together? What actually happened to them? What did Anand (JD Chakravarthy) do to save the relationship? Forms the rest of the story.

Performances:
Kartikeya has sported a different kind of role in this movie. The actor not only will surprise the audience with his looks but also impress them with his outstanding performance in the film. Kartikeya's energetic performance added more strength for the film. Digangana Suryavanshi is absolutely stunning in this movie.

Not only with her beauty, but the actress will also definitely grab the attention with her cute and promising performance as well. Her chemistry with Karthikeya also worked out well and they both looked cute on screen.

Jazba Singh delivered her best performance and will impress the audience. JD Chakravarthy got a meaty role in the film and he has delivered an intense performance in the film. Vennela Kishore's comedy timing will definitely evoke some good laughs in the theatre. The rest of the cast also made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:

Director TN Krishna has prepared a regular and a simple story without any twists and turns. However, he has succeeded in engaging the audience throughout the film with his pace of the narration. The director has executed the story well and has presented it in an interesting manner. Production values by Kalaipuli S Thanu under V Creations are very high.

The producers have invested decent amounts for the film. Music by Nivas K Prasanna is good. Keeping a couple of songs aside, Nivas K Prasanna has given a beautiful background score for the flick. Cinematography by RD Rajasekhar is good. He has produced some beautiful visuals for the film. Editing by Praveen KL is neat.

Review:

The movie starts on an interesting note and the entire first half is filled with fun and entertainment. It is evident that the director has concentrated more on the entertainment in this movie and has succeeded in impressing the audiences but he failed in keeping the audiences engaged with the plot. Though there is no solid story which can be considered as a negative point, we can say that the entertainment covers it up. But it is only limited to the first half. The second half is a complete disappointment. The movie has a lot of shortcomings and the decent performances by the cast and music also failed to engage the audience. The pre-climax and climax are huge letdowns Overall, 'Hippi' is an average movie with a lot of shortcomings.

Plus:
Performances
BGM
Dialogues
Comedy

Minus:
Second half
Weak narration

Final verdict: Hippi Fails To Impress the Audiences
