Successful 10 Years by Allu Arjun

March 28, 2013 - 11:02 AM IST

When a svelte young lad swung up his body with a startling rhythm and grace in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Daddy (2001), people thought that this guy would have a bright future. But they would have never assumed that he would turn the heartthrob of the entire South India cinema, with fans spread over different states. He is none other than Allu Arjun a.k.a Bunny. By today, he accomplishes a decade of successful acting career, as his debut film Gangotri completes 10yrs of its release [28th March 2003].

Being the second son of ace producer Allu Aravind and the grandson of legendary comedian Allu Ramalingaiah, having a great legacy to inherit, Bunny has proved the right successor and indeed embellishes a separate niche and fan base for himself. Growing up watching his relatives Megastar Chiranjeevi and Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, Bunny developed an interest upon acting. But, with the two big names setting the bar sky high, it was in fact a challenge to Bunny, who was just known for his zesty dancing abilities till then. Though he acted as a child artist in Chiranjeevi’s Vijetha (1985), he proved his mettle with his first film Gangotri and proclaimed that he is going to stay with his very second film Arya, an all-time blockbuster. From a good dancer image, he mellowed at every step he laid. While films like Bunny, Desamuduru made him a potential commercial hero, films like Happy, Parugu remain a testimony for a laudable actor in him.

He is a pro and a synonym for dynamism and style. He is the pioneer of the popular 6-pack abs trend in Tollywood with Desamuduru, which later went on to be contagious. That is why he is the ‘Stylish Star’ of the masses! This verve and style bought him fans not just in the state but across entire South India [with a diehard fan-base in Kerala and Karnataka].

He is one egoless star that makes him the dearest of many of his contemporary heroes, directors, music directors and the list goes endless. A two time prestigious Filmfare awardee, he is certainly the most promising actor the current generation Telugu cinema adorns. In these 10yrs with only 11 films, Bunny is one of the big players and with promising forthcoming projects like Iddarammayilatho (by Puri Jagannath) and Race Gurram (by Surender Reddy) falling place, Bunny is sure to rule the roost.

iQlikmovies wishes this Stylish Star many more successful accomplishments ahead.
