‘Sankarabharanam’ movie (1979) was one of the most appreciated and classic movie ever made in Tollywood. The lead role played by J.V. Somayajulu as ‘Shankar Shastri’ is an asset for this film. His performance was highly applauded by critics and fetched him awards too. Even after three decades of its release, Somayajulu's performance is esteemed and now he stood in the list of Forbes’s “25 Greatest Acting Performances of Indian Cinema”.
