Anamika is an upcoming thriller film starring Nayantara playing the female lead. The film is directed by the versatile filmmaker Sekhar Kammula. Music for the film is composed by the skillful M.M.Keeravani and lyrics are penned by the legendary lyricist Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry. Here is an iQlik exclusive music review of the album:
The album begins with Kshana Kshanam Naa Mounam - the music video song has already created an interesting wave of curiosity among the audience. Sung by the sweet sounding Sunitha, the track has great empathetic feel surrounding it. The interludes are neatly woven, and Keeravani’s music sounds quite modern to suit the current day listener’s taste with great ease. A special mention about the fantastic lyrics by Sirivennela.
The Search- Is a continuation track of the former with an eerie orchestration touch and great electric guitars. It is short in duration yet makes a great impact on the listener.
Another variation of the track Dead or Alive arrives with Carnatic Touches and great Piano from Sunitha yet again, with amazing lyrics by Sirivennela again. This track scores highest for its emotional depth.
The album reaches a fun phase while it arrives in finale with Addamlo Ammayi having a funky rhythm and feel good orchestration. The lyrics work wonders on the listener, and the piano touches are inevitably fantastic in the midst of harmonica.
Verdict:
Anaamika is one of its kind album different from the regular commercial albums with great undercurrent emotion carrying it confidently for the listener. However, the album may not appeal to regular film goers who might expect a mix of melodies and tempo filled songs.
