It is Possible Only For The Akkineni Family

The Akkineni family is undoubtedly the care of address for superior performances, subtle acting skills and great appearance. Every member in the family who ventured into acting have been versatile in selecting their roles and extremely careful in projecting themselves as competent actors. Right from Akkineni Nageshwara Rao to Naga Chaitanya, this trend is prevalent. That is why their films have been enthralling the audience in a unique manner for nearly decades of Telugu Cinema.

If you have observed keenly, the Akkineni family adorns a rare feat. And that is the the concept of Reincarnation (Re-birth) being used in Telugu Cinema. This concept was made vogue with ANR’s Mooga Manasulu which released in early 60s directed by the supreme Adurthi Subba Rao, an expert in bringing out Epic Drama films. The film featured the story of a couple who get separated in one lifetime due to economic differences and unite in their next birth. Starring Savitri and Jamuna as female leads, the film was a great musical with phenomenal songs and stellar performances by the lead actors.

After ANR, it was his son Nagarjuna who incidentally acted in Janaki Ramudu during his early days of his career opposite Vijayashanthi which again was based on Love and Reincarnation. Directed by K.Raghavendra Rao, it was a great musical hit as well.

Nearly after 25 years this film, it is the recent Manam that starred the three generations of Akkineni family co-incidentally has the concept of Re-birth.

This Re-birth concept is a hit with all the three generations of the Akkineni family and this only proves that the family can drive a concept trending over generations!
