Run Raja Run is an upcoming entertainer starring Sharwanand and Seerat Kapoor in the lead roles. Music for the film is composed by Vishwaroopam 2 fame Ghibhran who already made his unique mark in Tamil Cinema with his peculiar compositions. Here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:

The album begins with Rajadhi Raja having a faint flavor of Spanish genre intermixed with modern orchestration. The usage of saxophone and funny trumpets add cool value to the track and the singer Thomas Andrews does a great job in giving it a funky feel. Lyrics by Sreemani are fun filled and the chord progression sounds quite novel and interesting. The track has an interesting cartoonish feel in the interludes which was never tried before by any composer.

Bujjima Bujjima is an interesting composition with local beats and western styled singing by Gold Devaraj. The interludes are uniquely styled with techno sounds and native beats - the wonderful electric guitar does the magic. This track has interesting bass work and the peculiar fun element of Ghibran’s compositions. The changeover point in the second interlude is another highlight of the track.

The lovely melody Vadhantune Nenu Vadhantune sung by the breezy Chinmayee arrives in the midst of unique rhythm and great chord progression. The track has a great carnatic melody touch with modern orchestration that makes it stand out as one of the best compositions in recent times. Chinmayee performs out of her comfort zone with great ease and comfort. The second interlude reaches a fantastic crescendo with her solo humming.

The album reaches the inevitable party state with Coma Coma sung by the talented Kunal Ganjawala. The track has a contrasting modern feel and the unique chord progressions stand out. Interludes have a fun feel with various layers of percussions and great riffs. The interesting piano touches give the composition a unique touch.

Shanti Om Shanti is a breezy House mix track sung by talented Clinton and Maya Iyer with great ease. The modern House mix sounds were best made use of the composer without the advent of noise. The rhythm is steady and feels good for the listener to rejoice. The track has a 90s Pop feel associated with it as well, nevertheless greatly mixed with sitar touches in the interludes.

Verdict:

Run Raja Run is a musically rich album which introduces Telugu Audience to a new world of modern orchestration. Ghibran delivers promising tracks with new feel and aura and proves that he is the new talent of music composers to look for! However, this might sound strange and outlandish for a majority of the audience.
