There was a time when the Indian cinema was so strict that even kissing was considered a taboo. But eventually few heroes and filmmakers broke the barriers and today kissing scenes are done so generously. While Bollywood stands first as it has gone to the extent of smooching and lovemaking, the south is getting there.
Meanwhile, a recent discussion led to the talk of who can be called as the kissing kings of the silver screen. In south, the first place is being given to Kamal Haasan as he has a sequence in almost every film of his. In the north, this place has gone to Emraan Hashmi. In fact, Emraan is called the serial kisser there.
Among the seniors, Vinod Khanna, Shashi Kapoor have had their share of passionate moments while in south Nagarjuna took the lead. Among the younger heroes in Tollywood, Allu Arjun has a good lead owing to his kissing scene in the film Varudu. It is just recently that Mahesh has also started doing some lip kiss sequences. All in all, kissing is making a new progress on silver screen with each passing day, thanks to these kings.
