It's Mahesh V/s Pawan Again

July 03, 2014 - 01:21 PM IST

The ‘Aagadu’ controversy has just subsided and the two biggest stars of Tollywood are back in the big fight again.

But this time it is for the prestigious Filmfare awards. Both Mahesh’s SVSC and Pawan’s Attarintiki Daredi are listed in the 61st Filmfare Awards South nominations. And everyone are just waiting for July 12, the judgment day. Meanwhile discussions about ‘who would win it this time’ are rife in the audience and industry alike.

Digging into the previous records of both the stars – Mahesh has already won 3 Filmfares for Best Actor [Okkadu, Pokiri & Dookudu] and was nominated twice [for Businessman in 2012 and now for SVSC (2013)].

On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan has won his first Filmfare in the last edition of Filmfare Awards (60th) for Gabbar Singh. He was earlier nominated for Kushi (2001) and Jalsa (2008).

Though there is tough competition with Mirchi, Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde and Uyyala Jampala alongside, all eyes are on these two biggies.

So, will Pawan sweep off even this year or will Mahesh bounce back to win his fourth Filmfare of his career? Let’s wait and see!
