Arvind Krishna is one of the young emerging talents of Telugu Cinema in this era. After It’s My Love Story, he was noticed as an embodiment of promising talent. This young actor is all set with upcoming venture Adavi Kachina Vennela which has been creating a curious buzz all over. The film is due for release this Friday and here is an iQlik exclusive chitchat with the actor:
Your film Adavi Kachina Vennela is due for release this Friday. Tell us about it...
The film is based on a different concept based on journal writing and I’m very glad that the film has come out really good. I am sure it would be well received by the audience.
Please tell us about your role in the film…
My character has a unique ability to detect a metal which can emit and receive Electro Magnetic waves. He goes to a village in pursuit of something. Why and what happened next forms the crux of the story. The film is essentially based on village and my character also has the rural touch.
The trailer has many gun shots heard and the female lead Meenakshi’s role has been highlighted. Is there any reason behind this?
The female lead is an Olympic shooter who comes in the second half. However, the main character is the hero throughout the film.
Do you think such unique concept would be received well in the commercial wave now?
It’s not completely off beat because it has good humor, action and everything in right proportions to suit the interests of commercial audience. It has an item song too [Smiles]
How was it working with your director Akki Vishwanatha Reddy in this film?
Viswanath Sir is a passionate man. He is very clear about what he wants. Being the producer as well, he made sure he made a unique and good film.
If you would mention, what are the highlights of Adavi Kachina Vennela?
I would say the Plot is the main highlight because it is quite unique and unheard of in Telugu Cinema till date. The CG work has been phenomenal for the film. All the songs in the film were written by legendary Sirivennela garu and it acts as an important asset.
It is heard that you did some risky shots in the film?
Yes I did. The script demanded and I think an actor should be dedicated to take any sort of risk for the character and I am positive that the risk paid off well
.
The promos give an impression that the film is a thriller. How far of it is true?
There are Sci-Fi elements in the film and a little of puzzle solving with respect to journals. So, yeah…you can call it a thriller film.
Why should the Telugu Audience watch Adavi Kachina Vennela?
This is a film which every Telugu person can connect to. At the same time there is a new story, different screenplay sans vulgarity and minimal violence. Family audience can comfortably watch it. I am being very honest with this opinion because the film is genuinely made well. The audience can see something different for sure.
PR is very important here. As an upcoming actor how many have you made here?
(Smiles) Not really. I don’t know anyone that well till now. I am not a party person who would be geared up for a random event of the industry.
How is your family support for your filmy career?
Earlier my parents did not like it at all but now they seem to understand my passion for films now.
What do you think is most important to achieve success in films- Talent or Background?
Practically I’d say both because the person who has background is fortunate and talent is a requisite to sustain opportunities.
Do you have interest in production as well?
(Laughs) I’d want to but I don’t have money! Once I understand the ways of the industry I would definitely venture into it.
How was it working with your co-stars Meenakshi & Pooja Ramachandra
She is a fantastic dancer and a passionate individual. She got ample training for her character in the film. She is a practical person and I respect her for that. And Pooja is a smart and energetic actor. She plays my wife in this film.
What is your take on the music for Adavi Kachina Vennela?
The music was composed by two talented people Dr. Josyabhatla and Karthik. Both of them worked with stalwarts like A.R. Rahman and Josyabhatla worked with Keeravani as well. They gave fantastic songs.
Your upcoming films?
I’m currently working on Yavvanam Oka Fantasy, a commercial film in which I will be seen as a dynamic college student. The filming is currently in progress. I have four other films in pipeline. Will be confirming the details soon.
