Rabhasa is an upcoming entertainer starring Jr.NTR, Samantha and Pranitha in lead roles. The film is produced by Bellamkonda Suresh. Music for the film is composed by S.S.Thaman and here is an exclusive audio review of the album:
The album begins with typical Thaman vigor track Maar Salam sung by Suchith Suresan. Catchy lyrics by Ramajogayya Sastry also have great punch associated with it. The usage of good rhythm section, bass work and timely chorus does the job perfectly. The track has great undercurrent energy throughout its progress.
Raakasi Raakasi arrives next with a funkiness and pep added to it in the form of electric guitar and feel good Hip-Hop rhythms. Sung by Jr.NTR himself, the track has great energy. Sreemani’s lyrics are funky and wonderful to hear.
The much awaited mass touch is given by Garam Garam Chilaka in the trademark Thaman fashion. The usage of trumpets, superb massy beats and the vocals by Sri Krishna and Deepu does the needful. Lyrics by Sreemani are peppy and enjoyable to the hilt. In fact, the track carries the power packed soul of the album.
Hawa Hawa is a trance like melody with breezy interludes and contemporary orchestration. Karthik and Megha deliver a classy rendition with style and poise. The mellowed rhythm, and mild string section adds much value to the composition. The interludes are neatly layered over Hip Hop styled rhythm.
The album enters a finale with a celebrating track Dam Damare with paced up rhythm and electronic sounds. The track has a good fun filled energy and festive atmosphere. The fun filled rhythm with desi beats does the job perfectly.
Verdict:
Rabhasa is a fun filled album from Thaman yet again. The album is an absolute treat to the fans. However, the album could have been better with a neat balance between massy tracks and melodies.
