Censor Problems Push Geethanjali

August 06, 2014 - 03:55 PM IST Geethanjali

These days, censor has been the biggest concern for any film. Of late, it has been not easy for producers to get a green signal from the censor board as it was before. Several producers including Madhura Sreedhar (Maaya fame) have expressed their censor troubles on various occasions.

And even Kona Venkat’s upcoming horror comedy Geethanjali starring Anjali, Brahmanandam and others is also facing the same music now. It was informed earlier that the movie which was initially scheduled to release on the 8th of August has now been postponed to Aug 9. Inside talk is that the film is not done with its censor formalities and keeping in view of this, the makers have postponed the release to 9th of August just to be on the safe side. The film is expected to be censored today or tomorrow.

The director Raaja Kiran who is touted to have suffered a mild cardiac arrest due to the censor related stress is slowly recovering, according to sources.

Of late, the censor board is often accused of troubling various filmmakers. Some say the board is being very strict and some don’t buy this argument. However the fact is that the film releases are being affected by this and no one wants headaches and heart attacks as bonus for their releases. Hope this film releases on 9th August as the fans don't wish to hear another postponement.
