Aagadu Bgm Controversy: Relief for Thaman

August 14, 2014 - 01:11 PM IST Aagadu

Tollywood is blessed with both talented and super talented music composers but Thaman belongs to the third category – gifted composers. He is a unique blend of art with smart.

This young music sensation has earned a good will that he is a ‘producer-friendly’ composer. But he is unfortunately tagged as “Same to Same” Thaman by his haters for the various resemblances to other composers’ work in his songs. And the recent Aagadu teaser back ground score controversy is something which has been bothering the composer for a while in this regard.

We know that the bgm copy issue between Malayalam film Avatharam and Thaman’s Aagadu has been the recent talk of the town. And there was a big confusion as to who copied whom! Almost putting a full stop to the controversy, Avatharam film’s producer and script writer Vyasan Edavanakkad has offered a clarification to a national news daily regarding the ‘copy’ controversy.

“The trailer which was released online was just a dummy, which we have uploaded for the promotion. The original BGM by Deepak Dev is still under production. We took the background score form online and never knew it would result in something like this”, said Vysan in a recent interview.

“I came to know about the issue much later. All I can say is that we did not intent to infringe someone’s copyright,” he added. This clarification has come as a big relief for Thaman and he came out clean as pearl. Now, it's time for some productive work!
