The last few days saw a lot of commotion and controversy revolving around the arrest of actress Shweta Basu Prasad on charges of prostitution. While she received brickbats for her act, she also received a good share of support. Amidst that, many also demanded the police and the authorities as to why the client was not being revealed.
Well, the public anger and outcry seems to have affected the Indian judiciary. The court has now ordered that the identity of the businessman who was caught along with Shweta must be revealed to the media and the people. From a long time, whenever such an incident has happened, the victims were shown but never their clients.
This could prove to be a crucial turning point going forward and it would also set precedence to all those men who seek women for their carnal pleasures. What remains to be seen is how this Hyderabad based businessman is going to handle the after-effects given the rampant media presence and public glare.
