3 Unfulfilled wishes of Dr D Ramanaidu

February 19, 2015 - 09:10 AM IST D Ramanaidu | Ramudu Bheemudu

A small businessman from a remote village like Karamchedu has come to Hyderabad, established an empire called Rama Naidu Studios and is giving livelihood to many – a true legend!

He is the most passionate filmmaker ever walked on this Tollywood planet and is regarded as the “Movie Moghul” but he too had three unfulfilled wishes in his lifetime.

- Dr. D. Rama Naidu always planned to digitize his first super hit Ramudu Bheemudu and release it in color. Sentimentally it was his first successful film and moreover, it was a unique and special film that even this generation would like. But, unfortunately this never happened.

- Rama Naidu was an elite producer with immense passion for cinema and a distinguished taste. He was very involved in the film making process and travelled with the script along with his directors. In this regard, he was an inspiration to many aspirant and budding filmmakers working with him. But he had a storyline in mind which he wanted to direct it one day.

- The legendary producer was a good actor and he did petty roles even before producing films and he had few special appearances in his films. But close sources reveal that he wished to make a film like Manam starring Venkatesh, Rana, Naga Chaitanya and feature along with them. Unfortunately, a suitable script did not materialize and even this wish remained unfulfilled.

But, his contributions to Indian cinema will always be remembered. Rest in Peace O’Legend.
