Chandamama Kathalu bags National Award

March 24, 2015 - 04:29 PM IST Chandamama Kathalu

These days we are used to curse Telugu cinema for the quality of films we make but Telugu cinema is changing…we are experimenting…we are innovating and we are bagging National Awards too.

Leaving a lucrative career in the US, Praveen Sattaru is one creative cap who wished to come down to India and make films. When he had the edge to show off as an intellectual NRI filmmaker and make commercial films, he believed in his conviction and stories. Well, his movies may have failed to make the numbers promised but his stories never failed to touch the hearts. And today, his efforts and conviction were recognized. His recent outing Chandamama Kathalu has won the National Award in the Best Regional Film (Telugu) category for the year 2014.

Chandamama Kathalu is a heartwarming anthology film with about 8 different stories so effectively told by Praveen Sattaru and produced by Chanakya Bhooneti under their Working Dream Production banner. Chandamama Kathalu has Lakshmi Manchu, Naresh, Aamani, Chaitanya Krishna, Krishnudu, Kishore and others in the lead cast. Now Praveen Sattaru is coming up with yet another different subject and is currently busy with the pre-production activity of the film.

iQlik Movies congratulates director Praveen Sattaru and the entire team of Chandamama Kathalu.
