Most of us may not be much into book reading but there are those who are still fond of reading and they tend to go through several novels. Despite that, it is hard to go back in time and read novels written in the bygone era. It is here that the cinema industry comes to the rescue by doing movies based on those novels.
One such film in discussion is Anushtaanam. This is based on a story written by the iconic Gudipati Venkata Chalam way back in 1950. The film has the triple Guinness record holder Dr Ghazal Srinivas as the hero and he is pairing up with the petite beauty Madhavilatha in the lead.
The film is directed by Krishna and it is made on the 50s backdrop. Slated to be an intense emotional treat, it is heard that the performance by Ghazal Srinivas is quite impact creating. The talkie part is complete and the team is targeting September for release once other formalities are done.
