To those of you who are not aware, R K Narayan is India’s iconic writer who came up with some heart touching stories. One series from his works was the famous ‘Malgudi Days’ wherein R K Narayan created a fictitious south Indian village named Malgudi and weaved his beautiful stories around it.

Now, the tough taskmaster S S Rajamouli has also done something very similar. He has created an entirely fictional kingdom named Mahishmathi in his magnum opus Baahubali. Given that situation, he has also created characters wherein each individual has a strong presence of their own in the story.

Speaking about it, Rajamouli reportedly mentioned that his true inspiration came from the famous Amar Chitra Katha comics. However, after hearing about the creation of Mahishmathi, many are saying he has adopted the style of the great R K Narayan. Here’s wishing all success to Rajamouli’s imagination.
