These days, any film which gains either popularity or silent adoration also gets room for controversies. Let it be a Box Office marvel like Baahubali or a national award winning off beat film like Kaaka Muttai, the troubles are inevitable.

While Baahubali was criticized for the banal characterization of Tamanna's role Avanithka and mistreatment of Dalits, Kaaka Muttai is in trouble for a different reason. A lawyer named Manivannan filed a case against Kaaka Muttai claiming that the film features some objectionable conversations about a female lawyer. Kaaka Muttai's producer Dhanush is naturally a worried man now. This incredibly talented actor was greatly appreciated for producing a film like Kaaka Muttai which deals about the lesser known lives of slum kids, the legal trouble would have come as a shock! As a result, Dhanush attended Madras High Court to appear for the hearing.

He appealed to the judge saying the film doesn't raise objections on any section of soceity. The judge watched the visuals and gave a stay order saying there are no such disturbing scenes in the flick! Maybe that is why they say, a filmmaker should be prepared for challenges from all sides- whether it is the obvious the most unlikely!
