Flight Tickets Vs Movie Tickets

August 12, 2015 - 12:30 PM IST Weekend Love

A common anguish that is being expressed by many cine buffs is that it has become increasingly difficult to plan for a movie in theatre owing to the budget. The prime factor happens to be the exorbitant ticket rates they claim and owing to the expenditure, they are seeking ways like pirated DVDs.

But there is another side to it. For instance, when you want a flight ticket, the pricing is as per demand. You would notice that the air fare keeps fluctuating on daily basis and sometimes hourly basis. Given that situation, why not the same principle be applied for the movie tickets as well.

There are those who are fighting that the hiking of ticket prices during the release day and the subsequent weekend is exploitation. But if you look at it closely, there is nothing illegal or unfair about it. Based on the demand, the ticket price would be proportional and it would also benefit the audience in few cases.
