The term ‘adopting villages’ is abuzz in the industry now – all thanks to Srimanthudu! We already know PMO Narendra Modi called out all the political leaders and other celebrities to adopt a remote village and this is slowly catching up too. Even Superstar Mahesh Babu adopted his native village Burripalem and is working towards its development. Now it is the film’s heroine who shall join the elite list of celebrities who have adopted villages.
Going into the details, Shruti was interacting with her followers and fans in Twitter through a Q & A and as a reply to one question, Shruti Haasan expressed her willing to adopt a village very soon. Shruti was raised in Chennai while her father the legendary Kamal Haasan hails from Paramakudi, a village in Tamil Nadu. So, we need to wait and see if Shruti Haasan shall adopt a village in her motherland or elsewhere.
This is indeed a great gesture from the star heroine and such acts by these stars are quite inspirational. Hope we get to hear more adoptions from others as well and we’ll witness some change. Otherwise “laavaipotharu”! What say folks?
