Srimanthudu Effect on KCR?

August 18, 2015 - 07:47 PM IST Srimanthudu

Any film that wins the hearts of the audience or scores big numbers at the box-office is declared a hit but a hit that sets up a trend can be termed a trendsetter and looks like Srimanthudu belongs here.

The film has already been the biggest commercial hit after Baahubali but Srimanthudu has somehow set something abuzz and that is ‘adopting villages’. Of course, this is not new to us but Mahesh’s Srimanthudu has brought back the concept of adopting villages into lime light once again. Everyone who saw the film is talking about this besides the entertainment part. Though Mahesh has adopted his village Burripalem long back, many like Shruthi Hassan have expressed their interest over adopting villages.

Now going into the details, the Chief Minister of Telangana state, K Chandrasekhar Rao has adopted Mulkanur, a village in Karimnagar district and this new advancement is being dubbed as ‘Srimanthudu Effect’. Recently KTR, the Telangana State Minister for IT has recently appreciated the film and Mahesh Babu for such a motivational film and coincidentally KCR adopting the village is also being termed as the influence of the film.

Well, be it or not, this village adoption is the most happening concept now and all thanks to Mahesh and the makers of Srimanthudu for such a film!
