We can already predict a smirk on your face reading the title. But you know there are no boundaries for imagination and anything can happen in Cinema (at least). If filmmakers like Rajamouli didn’t believe in their dreams, a film like Baahubali wouldn’t have been possible. Well, we are already waiting for Chiru150 but here we wish to report an interesting fact about Megastar Chiranjeevi’s biggest hit and classic Jagadekaveerudu Athilokasundari, a path breaking socio fantasy of its times.
There is a sequence in the film where Indraja (the daughter of God Indra) happens to lose her ring and the hero Raju (Chiranjeevi) finds the ring and later the story takes an interesting course. Here is where the “Andalalo Aho Ahodayam…” song was planned and as per the initial imagination, the song was slated to be shot in a Moon set. But Megastar wasn’t convinced enough with this idea. He felt that a common man going to moon was not so convincing and instead, it can be some heavenly location on the earth. Even director K Raghavendra Rao was impressed with Chiru’s idea and the song was later conceptualized in the exotic ‘Manasasarovar lake’ set that was slowly gaining popularity at that time.
We know how big hit was the song and even Chiru shares a major credit along with the Darsakendrudu, cinematographer Ajayan Vincent and the art director. Well, Chiru is always known for his judgment and this is just a slice of his creative juices. Let us see what wonder he is going to offer as his 150th film!
