The multitalented and beautiful Shruti Hassan has been a happy person with her latest film Srimanthudu becoming a good hit and getting a best actress Filmfare award for her performance in Race Gurram as well! Her presence in Srimanthudu was greatly appreciated and the unique chemistry she shared with Mahesh Babu became talk of the town.
After the release of Srimanthudu, many people from film as well as political backgrounds chose to adopt a village by getting inspired from the lead character Harsha in it. The rural development schemes shown in the film became a topic of discussion even in India’s capital Delhi! There was a buzz about Shruti Hassan thinking of adopting a village but sources say that this wasn’t a Srimanthudu effect after all!
It is being said that Shruti had this idea of adopting villages few years ago itself and she discussed about it with her brilliant acting dad Kamal Hassan. Kamal naturally welcomed the idea and felt proud of his daughter for such a sensible thought. As a result, Shruti has adopted a village nearby Chennai recently and been actively working for it! Her action just coincided with Srimanthudu's release but not related to the film's theme in any manner!
Just like her Dad who stays away from media and showbiz for every activity of his, Shruti seems to maintain low profile for her activities- which is indeed a great quality!
