Lucky hurts renowned scientist Poorna Chandar Rao (Murali Sharma) with his memory loss when the latter waits to talk about offering his daughter's hand to him. Poorna Chandar Rao gets deeply hurt that he never wishes to see Lucky again. When Lucky's family loses hope over his marriage, Lucky accidentally meets Nandana (Lavanya Tripati) and they eventually fall in love. But after a series of incidents, Lucky realizes the shocking fact that Nandana is Poorna Chandar Rao's daughter, the man who hates him to the core. Meanwhile, inspector Ajay (Ajay), a family friend of Nandana & family wants to marry her by any cost. So, how did our memory loss candidate win Nandana's hand standing against all odds and villains forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Nani: He is an able actor with great comedy timing and given a right script, he would turn it into a good entertainer. Nani did the same with BBM. He was once again at his entertaining best in the role of a memory loss candidate. He was the show stopper in the entire film.

Lavanya Tripathi: Its high time we need to forget the homely girl-next-door because here comes a new Lavanya who has the right blend of glamor and performance in the film. The best of Lavanya is yet to come though.

Murali Sharma: You might have seen this class apart actor in many exceptional roles but he plays the role of a caring father in BBM with such elegance.

Ajay: He is totally not the baddie in the film but he plays a key role in the film but as expected ends up beaten by the hero.

Vennela Kishore: His combination with Nani is the meat in the film. Absolute fun!

The rest of the cast including Naresh, Sitara, Srinivasa Reddy, Satyakrishna, Prabhas Seenu and others play their part in this fun filled drama.

Analysis:

Taking the name of Maruti, we need to say this is a clean family film. Now talking about the film, Maruti scores good with his interesting hero characterization that has got ample scope for comedy. And secondly he's got a cast like Nani, Lavanya and Murali Sharma in the lead roles. Adding to it is the sparkling chemistry of refreshing pair Nani & Lavanya.

Maruti often relies heavily upon the comedy quotient in the film rather than the emotional intensity in the story and even this time he is no different. But unlike his previous flicks, BBM sails off smoothly with fun stuffed throughout the film with no exclusive comedy track (especially without his trump card Saptagiri). Nani, Lavanya, Vennela Kishore and Murali Sharma carry the film upon their shoulders rightly assisted by Naresh and Srinivasa Reddy. Maruti had got his first half as a rollicking fun ride with the love story progressing simultaneously. There comes in the much predictable yet convincing pre-interval episode. Yes... Maruti tries to entertain with his underplay of spoofs here and there. While the second half is predominantly confusion drama that did evoke laughter.

However, the fragile conflict point, extended second half and insipid climax are the worth mentioning negative aspects of the film. On a whole, there is good comedy quotient in the film that makes the mango man (aam aadmi) ignore the flaws and enjoy the film.

Merits:

The performance of the lead cast.

Interesting characterization of Nani

The comedy between Nani, Vennela Kishore, Murali Sharma, Naresh and Srinivasa Reddy.

The romantic track between Nani and Lavanya.

Engaging screenplay with comedy throughout the film.

Good songs and background score.

Clean comedy that the family audience could enjoy.

De-merits:

- Fragile conflict point,

- Extended second half

- Routine and weak climax.

Music:

BBM album is already hit with a versatile mix of tunes that were a delight to the ears and eyes as well. However the last song looked enforced. But the entertaining background score also adds value to this romcom.

Others:

Cinematography was impressive.

Verdict:

BBM is just a time pass entertainer with a pinch of love, romance topped with extra fun. Not a great attempt but don't wonder if we can  call it a family entertainer!
