There are different ways you grade movies and their times based on the technology, the genre and what not. But there is also something called an era and that is set by a particular individual. Tollywood has been blessed to have such daring and highly accomplished men who created their own eras.
For a very long time the eccentric genius Ram Gopal Varma held that privilege due to his movie Shiva. Many cine pundits categorized Tollywood era as before Shiva and after Shiva. This grew up to showcase the regional cinema as well. But now it appears that the place of RGV has been taken by someone else.
He is none other than the tough taskmaster S S Rajamouli. Apparently, Rajamouli has been on a success streak since his debut flick but his last offering Baahubali has made him an international name. Therefore, regional cinema is now being called as Before Rajamouli and After Rajamouli.
