The concept of Biopics runs on those individuals who have had different twists and turns in life and emerged successful from it. Sometimes, they are also about those who had their share of controversies and grabbed limelight. But then there is a particular fundamental which is often followed.

Usually biopics are made on those who are dead and it is proved to be an inspiration to the audience. However, the times have changed and biopics are coming based on people who are still alive. Bollywood is quite ahead in this matter and the success rate to these projects has also been high.

So far, we have seen the biopics of athlete Milkha Singh, boxer Mary Kom and soon there is going to be a biopic on cricketers Mohammad Azharuddin and Mahendra Singh Dhoni as well. In south, the Telugu movie Rakta Charitra came when Maddelacheruvu Suri was alive and now another movie titled Rai is in the making and it is based on the retired Karnataka mafia don Muttappa Rai.
