Bengal Tiger is one of the most anticipated releases of the season starring Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja with milky beauty Tamannah and the bubbly Raashi Khanna in the lead roles. Music for the album is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo. This action flick is directed by Racha fame Sampath Nandi. Here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:
The funkiest album makes obvious beginnings with title track Bengal Tiger sung in full energy by Shankar Mahadevan. Rama Jogayya Sastry’s lyrics strike the balance between commerciality and expertise. One can hear the signature trumpets, hard hitting rhythm section which makes it an ideal introduction song for the hero!
A highway song arrives next in the form of Aasia with an apparent overdose of sequencing and ambient sounds. Out of the vocalists it is Nakash Aziz who makes a good presence with his lilting voice for a fast paced number. The director Sampath Nandi himself penned the lyrics with good wit and ease. Bheems Ceciroleo attempts to make an impressive blend between international Pop and local folk genres.
Choopulatho is a wonderful melodious solo sung by Vijay Prakash in striking perfection. The soothing guitars and string section creates a nostalgic feel and Srimani’s thoughtfully poetic lyrics make it even better. A real winner as far as Bheem’s melodious endeavors are concerned!
The legendary Adnan Sami gets to join the fun party with a celebrating number Banchan with the teasing dimension which Ravi Teja’s albums have. However, Adnan Sami is the frontrunner for this song with his impeccable Telugu diction and brilliant rendition. Lyricist Bhaskarabhatla attempts to give it a comic layering too and succeeds with flying colors.
It is time to party the Ravi Teja style with Raye Raye- a heavy dose mass masala number. The striking Telangana folk essence is greatly reflected in the track which is high on energy levels. Simha and Mamata Sharma perform this song like a cakewalk as it is their forte! Suddala Ashok Teja’s magical lyrics also work perfectly.
Verdict:
Bengal Tiger is a fun filled album and Bheems Ceciroleo gets the feel right. However, the album would have been more enjoyable with additional melodies.
