Tripura is an upcoming thriller movie starring Colors Swathi and Andala Rakshasi fame Naveen Chandra in lead roles. The film is directed by Geethanjali fame Raja Kiran and two music directors namely Kamran and Nandan Raj composed the music for this flick. Here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:

The laid back album begins on a folksy note with Yele Yelelo sung effectively by Pranavi and penned poetically by Rama Jogayya Sastry. The overall orchestration is optimistic, fun loving and creates good jitter. The recurring solo humming adds an additional folk layer to this enjoyable track. Mild guitar strums and rustic flute adds the icing on the cake.

Ninnu Choodakunda is a trance like melody sung by talented Karthik and lyrics are penned by Chandrabose. Nandan Raj’s lovely composing is reflected all over with progressive rhythm and contemporary effects. The pleasant ambience it creates is quite impressive and blissful to hear. In fact, the composition has a 90s nostalgic feel which is blended effortlessly with modern touches.

A relaxing duet Yegirine Manasu arrives next with gripping bass work, sequencing and fantastic vocals by Karthik and Sri Vidya. Chandrabose unleashes his best poetic self with effective usage of words and dreamy comparisons. The overall track progresses at a relaxing note with no hurry in any manner. The usage of thavil along with modern rhythm pad is a good experimentation.

The album strikes a brilliant finale with Yevariki Theliyani with the best of trance and vocals of classy Madhu Balakrishnan is the lifeline of this composition.  The deep philosophical questions asked by this song were penned flawlessly by Chandrabose. The passionate rhythm is quite melodious and follows the vocals with no mistakes.

Verdict:

Tripura is a poetically melodious which stays true to the theme. The album is quite strong on orchestration, vocalist’s selection and of course brilliant lyrics as well.
