There are many reasons why you would have liked the magnum opus Baahubali and apart from the performances or the technical aspects, there are few scenes that really strike the heart. One such scene was the installation of the statue of Bhallaladeva, which is made of gold.

It appears that this scene has inspired the authorities in China and they have come up with something similar in their country. Reports reveal China has now unveiled a gold plated statue of their famous leader Chairman Mao Zedong. The cost for this is a whopping $4.6 million.

While the statue of Bhallaladeva is 100 feet in the movie, Mao Zedong’s statue is slated to be about 36 meters. This has been set up at the open province of Tongxu Country near Kaifeng. While the outside is gold plated, the inside is made of concrete and steel. This is a true inspiration of Bhallaladeva.
