The relationship between the film industry and the film critics is that of love and hate and usually it is more of the latter from the cine circuit towards the critics. The film folks strongly feel that the critics damage movies with their reviews and don’t have the sensibility to consider their efforts.
While critics are called as cruel, there is something else which is much more cruel than critics and it can cause the real damage to movies. It is Mother Nature. Critics can only give some rating on a website but this is higher than that. There is nothing even the most powerful in the industry can do.
When films are preparing for release and nature strikes in the form of heavy rains or scorching heat, the film fraternity has no choice but to say “our fate” and accept it as it comes. So, prayers should go to appease Mother Nature rather than putting efforts to attack film critics and their reviews.
