Among the many stalwarts of Telugu cinema, there is one particular section which will always be remembered. This is the segment of lyricists because it is them who churn out some wonderful lines for songs and build that emotion and feeling. They also showcase the power of Telugu literature.
One man who is no less than a legend is Sirivennela Seetarama Sastry and today he is celebrating his birthday. Many assume he got the title of Sirivennela due to the movie but it is not so. During that movie shooting itself the title came like that to Seetarama Sastry.
Kala Tapasvi K Viswanath put that name as pen name for Sastry. He used to write poetry with the pen name of Bharani. For this, KV reportedly said “When you parents have kept such a nice name why do you need a proxy? You call yourself as Sirivennela Seetarama Sastry.” He has crossed 61 and is still going strong in terms of work. He is writing single card for Gautamiputra Satakarni along with writing for movies like Brahmotsavam, Rudramadevi and others. Happy birthday sir!
