Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam movie failed to reach the expectations of the audiences and the negative talk started spreading like wildfire. Even Mahesh’s stardom and craze also failed to fetch good openings for the film.
The negative talk has impacted the collections from the day one. Much against to the expectations, Brahmotsavam bagged poor openings even over the first weekend. After an average opening day, there has been steep dip in the second day collections which maintained on the third day (Sunday) as well, as per trade sources. According to latest reports, Brahmotsavam first weekend collections are estimated to be Rs 24.10 Cr gross with a share of Rs 18.60 Cr.
Keeping aside the indigenous collections, Brahmotsavam has remained a nightmare for Mahesh who is rather regarded as “the King of Overseas”. According to popular trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Brahmotsavam first weekend collections in overseas is about Rs 6.59 Cr which is relatively an underperform!
There are unfortunately no hopes over the film's box-office performance down the lane. We need to see if the film will attain a breakthrough in the long run.
