The acting journey of Jr NTR from a boy next door to the invincible Young Tiger is indeed an inspirational one. This power house actor had the rare privilege to act as Lord Rama as a child artist in Gunasekhar’s Ramayanam but exactly fifteen years ago, his debut film Ninnu Choodalani released on this day. On the eve of the Young Tiger completing 15 glorious years in the film industry, let us look at the versatility and prowess this actor exhibited consistently throughout his career!
When Jr NTR made a humble beginning with Ninnu Choodalani under the prestigious banner Ushakirron Movies, he was subjected to huge criticism especially for his plump looks. Though the film couldn’t fare that well, the unnerved Jr NTR teamed up with S.S.Rajamouli for his first super hit Student no.1. The actor was immediately noticed for his dancing talent and his mass moves were greatly appreciated. But the biggest breakthrough for him was by VV Vinayak in the form of factionist flick Aadhi that shot him to stardom. Jr NTR’s energy and calibre were perfectly put to use in this flick!
Jr NTR continued his hit streak with yet another blockbuster Simhadri with SS Rajamouli which indeed made him a star hero. The mass appeal of Jr.NTR was clearly evident in every role he took up. He had the dare to take a female oriented subject like Rakhi that unleashed the best out of the actor in him. This film got him close to the family audiences. Despite the hiccups in career with a series of flops, he backfired with a mass masala film Yama Donga which had him adorn the mythological look- one of his grandfather’s biggest strengths.
Out of the younger hero lot, Jr.NTR is the only hero who can deliver mythological dialogues perfectly. The actor had a rough phase with series of flops like Ramayya Vastavayya and Rabhasa but bounced back with Temper and Nannaku Prematho.
- Jr.NTR is also a great lover of arts and music just like his grandfather and Keeravani’s heart wrenching song Raalipoye Poova is one of his all time favorites. He had classical dance training as which reflects in his graceful dance moves. It would be interesting to know that Jr.NTR is spiritual in nature and considers Jaggi Vasudev of Isha Foundation as his guru.
- When asked about his film which is most close to his heart till date, Jr.NTR undoubtedly says Nannaku Prematho for its sentimental value and intelligent concept. Like the on screen emotional self, Jr.NTR is quite emotional and straightforward off the screen as well.
iQlikmovies congratulates Jr.NTR for this unique milestone and wishes him the best for his upcoming film Janatha Garage with Koratala Siva.
