Plot:

Anasuya Ramalingam (Samantha) is the only daughter of business tycoon Mahalakshmi (Nadhiya) and Ramalingam (Naresh). Anand Vihari (Nithiin) is Ramalingam’s nephew living along with his mother Kameshwari, sister Bhanu (Saranya) in Kaluvapudi village. In a series of events Anasuya and Anand develop feelings for each other but the troubled past both their families share distance them. Meanwhile, Nagavalli (Anupama Parameshwaran) loves Anand who is later coerced to marry her due to his financial debts. How problematic did the triangular love story get and how did Anasuya & Anand families reunite form the crux of the plot.

Performances:

This is perhaps one of the best performance oriented mainstream Telugu family entertainers in recent times. Big or small, the lead cast has delivered some stellar performances and here are the best combos you might find -

Samantha-Naresh: This father-daughter relation is super cute and heartening & nonetheless to say they excelled it.

Naresh-Nadhiya: Both of them are absolute winners with individual merits.

Samantha-Hariteja: The best princess and her satirical servant maid combo you’ll ever get to see.

Rao Ramesh-Ajay: The hilarious father and son combo. While the father is the lead villain, his son is sheer dumbo with a common similarity – both of them are losers.

On the other hand Nithiin, Anupama Parameswaran, Praveen, Posani, Giri Babu and others shine in their respective roles.

Analysis:

Nevertheless to say Trivikram’s films are unique. He has done various subjects before but A Aa has turned out to be something unique in this family. The commendable part of Trivikram’s job was that he did not seem to bother much about the commercial obligations. His undeterred focus on the balance of emotional and fun quotients was pretty evident. The narrative was laced with brilliant performances rooted in realistic emotions and Trivikram mark comedy is the extra topping.

This isn’t a never-heard before story but is certainly a performance-drive narrative that gives you a reason to watch. The first half just sails off with the love story and the family drama starts bothering you in the second half which looks extended. However, Trivikram ends the film with his mark hilarious punch!

Now coming to his usual bests – characterizations and situational fun are the key assets of the film. No wonder the film is predictable with few loop holes here and there but Trivikram manages to hide the kitten in the kitty.

Low on Trivikram mark comedy quotient and commercial ingredients might disappoint the masses.

Music:

Though Mickey J Meyer’s music isn’t great, it has been well blend with the narrative. And the back ground score goes in absolute sync with the mood of the film.

Production design and visual effects are impressive.

Verdict:

A..Aa is a funny, breezy yet intense and emotional family entertainer. You can check out for sure (don’t forget to dump your expectations before you go)
