The stunningly realistic Bollywood film Udta Punjab has been facing harsh criticism and treatment from censor board right from the time it was supposed to release. CBFC ordered the makers of the film to make maximum cuts but somehow the film managed to surpass the crucial stage.
Fortunately, the film became a great hit all over India but when the makers planned to release it in Pakistan, the troubles have come back! As per the latest updates, the makers of Udta Punjab decided against releasing the film in Pakistan because the film board ordered for almost 100 cuts. The director Abhishek Chaubey said that it would be meaningless to release the film with so many cuts and they cannot even appeal for a court decision in Pakistan.
Because of this, Abhishek has decided not to release the film in Pakistan though it would incur losses for the producers.
