Nandamuri Balakrishna aka NBK entering into his 57th year and interestingly he completed almost 43 years in the film industry as he was debuted in Thathama Kala (1974).
From then, he completed 100 films as an actor and completing a century in the film industry is a great feat to achieve. In his entire career, he almost ventured into many genres like- devotional, social, folklore, historical, sci-fi etc.
He is one among the few heroes in the entire Indian film industry to have the great strength in portraying the pouranikam (mythological) dialogues and at the same time, he also mastered in rendering some massy dialogues like- Kaththulatho Kaaduraa.. Kanti Chooputho Champerstha.. (from Narasimha Naidu).
From the last decade of 90’s to early 2000’s he ruled the box office with some memorable commercial blockbusters like- Samarasimha Reddy, Narasimha Naidu, Lakshmi Narasimha. After this, he faced some downfall in his career and later he punched the box office hardly with the collaboration of director Boyapati Srinu in the form of Simha (2010) & Legend (2014).
Keeping all his achievements aside, his offered a great Telugu epic historical action film to the audience in the form of Gautamiputra Satakarni (2017). GPSK gave an overview about the identity of Telugu people and director Krish used the powerful face value of Balayya to showcase the pride of Telugu across the world with this flick.
After completing the century in the industry, he chose crazy director Puri Jagannadh as his director for the 101st film who is almost an opposite side to his nature & kind of films that he was made earlier.
Yesterday, we saw the new Balakrishna in the first look posters of Balayya in Paisa Vasool. Hope this 101 would be a total makeover flick of his career by keeping a view on how Puri changed the onscreen looks of his heroes.
On this happiest note, we wish “Bola Balayya” (a flawless soul person) a Happy Birthday. #HBDBalakrishna #HBDBalayya #NBK101
