Bollywood star hero Ranveer Singh has been picked for a role which changed the course of Cricket in India.
As per the updates from Mumbai, Ranveer Singh is going to play the role of Kapil Dev who is the captain of Indian Cricket Team in the 1983 World Cup. This film revolves around the happenings at the time of 1983 World Cup and the World Cup matches will be the key scenes in the movie.
Ace director Kabir Khan is going to direct this flick and Vishnu Induri bankrolling this project. The official announcement is going to be on 27th of September in Mumbai and all the cricketers who were part of that 1983 World Cup are going to present at the event in the capacity of chief guests.
The shooting is planned to start from the early next year onwards and the shoot will be happening at the original locations, as per the sources. This announcement embarks the grand old memories to the audience and it is the cup actually made Cricket as a household name in India.
