Ever since the Telugu cinema has shifted its base from Chennai to Hyderabad, the infrastructure and facilities have found a strong footing and today the city has become a big hub for the Tollywood folks. However, since the past few years, certain expansions have taken place and focus was more towards cities in Andhra Pradesh side.

Post bifurcation this pattern has increased a lot and now it is heard that the chief minister of AP, Chandrababu Naidu is keen to develop a separate entity for Tollywood. As part of that, it is heard that he is looking to start Filmnagar either in Vizag or Amaravathi. Under current circumstances, anyone would look at Vizag as the better option.

Buzz is that Naidu is thinking over this as the Nandi awards controversy is still on and with this offer the cine folks may soften their stand and go quietly. Meanwhile, Vizag already has Ramanaidu Studios and good locations but looking at all parameters, many are suggesting Naidu that Amaravathi looks to be the best spot. Let us see what the final decision will be.
