Don't underestimate the power of a common man (sorry for lifting this line from SRK’s Chennai Express). But, somehow, this line will be the most suited line for this concept and you will all get the same feeling for sure.
This film Padman based on Twinkle Khanna’s book- The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, which is inspired by the real-life personality- Arunachalam Muruganathan. He (Arunachalam) who worked on making the most economical sanitary pads for the women living in rural India. In the process, he faced so many challenges and brickbats from the society including his family members.
However, he overcomes all those hurdles and now he is the Padman for all women out in India by shedding the light on a most tabooed term called Menstrual Hygiene in our country. R Balki along with his co-writer Swanand Kirkire penned some amazing scenes which showcased the emotional & purposeful journey of Arunachalam (Lakshmikanth Chauhan in Padman) played by Akshay Kumar.
Akshay Kumar played this responsible role in a most responsible way and Radhika Apte, Sonam Kapoor gave their best padding to the lead actor by their best performances. Last but not least, Amitabh Bachchan’s striking voice gave that extra magnificent touch to this trailer and will be looking forward to his cameo in the flick.
Now, the countdown started for the Padman to hit the screens on 26th January 2018.
