Lately, the pattern of film celebrities attending courts on various issues has risen and while some are genuine others are simply ploys by vested elements for mileage and publicity. It has become a fashion of sorts to target those celebrities who are quite famous and take them to court on one pretext or the other.
This time, it is the turn of the ‘wink beauty’ Priya Prakash Varrier who has approached the Supreme Court with a plea. Apparently, few groups of a religious community filed a case against Priya and her film’s producer Omar Lulu pertaining to that clip where she winks at a boy. Their grievance was towards the lyrics of the song.
But now, Priya’s counsel has approached the court requesting the striking off of all those petitions citing they are baseless and flimsy. The complaints were filed by a group in Hyderabad as well as Aurangabad. The Court has accepted the petition and it remains to be seen what the Supreme Bench will do with this.
