We feel proud and honored when there is an international recognition of our works and the field of cinema is such that one positive statement from an international filmmaker about an Indian movie creates ripples of sensation. However, the statement from an iconic filmmaker is now leading to various discussions.

The legendary filmmaker Christopher Nolan of ‘Inception’ ‘The Dark Knight’ ‘Interstellar’ ‘Dunkirk’ fame is currently in India. Sharing his thoughts with the media he mentioned that his all-time favorite Indian movie is ‘Pather Panchali’ the Bengali flick directed by the legendary Satyajit Ray.

Those who heard this said instead of this if Nolan had mentioned any contemporary movie it would have become a big news and everybody would have spoken about it. Not many have even seen this movie including the contemporary audience. Of course, Nolan’s opinion was not for sensationalism, he gave his natural opinion and now they will watch this movie to understand why he liked it.
