Seems like Telugu Film Industry is having a real tough time. On one side, the casting couch issue and on the other side internal disturbances. After Sri Reddy's nude protest, there have been internal tensions about casting couch and media's propaganda. Even before the industry recovers and takes any action against these issues, one more shocker comes.

We all know that there are tens of departments in the movie industry. Lightmen are the vital people who have a very tiring job but play a pivotal role in the making of movies. Telugu Cine and TV Outdoor Lightmen Union are on a strike which has become a major issue now.

The main reason behind the strike by the Lightmen is to increase their wages. This issue has now become a major threat, as the Union of these Lightmen has called all the members for a strike and hence no one is going to take up any shootings.

Actor Nithiin’s Srinivasa Kalyanam is currently being shot in Chandigarh and the Union members have ordered the lightmen to return without working for the movie there, as a part of the strike. Ram Charan and NTR who are shooting in Ramoji Film City are under this threat too. But, the respective makers have made arrangements to get Lightmen from Mumbai, to avoid rescheduling of the shooting dates. We have to wait and see until when this problem will persist and hope justice is done to the lightmen.
