When you take a look at the changing dynamics of Indian cinema you would notice that there has been a rapid change in the last few years when it comes to the content and most importantly, the glamour quotient and adult material. For a long time, kissing was considered a big no and even Bollywood maintained that protocol.
However, things changed quickly and today even the biggest of stars indulge in deep kisses onscreen. This brings us to the main question, is lip lock still a taboo? Well, the unanimous answer being expressed is no. India has grown to such an extent that audience has become broadminded and they do welcome some boldness onscreen.
At the same time, the moral police is not too convinced with the whole ‘development’. They state that showing lip lock scenes as a romantic situation is understandable but most of the times the filmmakers are using it to increase the lust quotient and grab the attention of the audience for their box office numbers which is not a safe thing to do down the line.
