Prabhu Deva is back with another dance-based film. Lakshmi, in which the actor will be seen playing the lead role, is set for release and he is excited about it. The actor was last seen in Mercury, a horror thriller which was a hit. Even Gulebakavali and Abhinetri, which saw the actor in lead roles, were also a huge hit at the box office.
The actor was in town to promote Lakshmi which is directed by AL Vijay and says that the film is more about the bonding between a teacher and his beloved student. “I accepted the film only when Vijay promised me to make it in high standards. All the kids who are a part of this film are trained dancers. Vijay and his team literally hunted for them,” said the Indian Michael Jackson.
Prabhu even said that he watches Telugu cinema on a regular basis and that he loves the energy in the films here. “It’s good to see huge sets, colourful costumes and actors who dance really well. In fact I watched films like Na Peru Surya...,Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, Rangasthalam and many other recent films,” he added.
