Selling merchandise related to a film is a very common practice in the Hollywood circuit and in fact it is a big business out there. For some reason it has not been that prominent in the Indian cine circuit and only recently the tough taskmaster S S Rajamouli came up with few merchandises from his magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ and they sold like hot cakes.
However, one thing does happen here. Stuff that has been used in hit movies are sometimes put up for auction and normally the revenue generated from it is used for noble cause. Something like that is happening now with a bike. It happens to be a Yamaha RX100 bike and this was seen in the recent super hit ‘RX 100’.
According to the latest reports, the makers of the film have announced that they are going to auction the Yamaha bike and the minimum bid to that starts from a whopping fifty thousand. As such, there are many bikers who are crazy about this model. Point is, the proceeds obtained from this auction would be donated for Kerala flood relief. This is a good job folks!
