It doesn’t matter how many flops are scored but some directors have this special magic of creating excitement and curiosity whenever they are arriving with a film. The classic example to that is the maverick Mani Ratnam. It has been quite a while since he scored a hit and yet his new projects always generate a lot of enthusiasm.

This time he has arrived with the movie ‘Nawab’ and the official trailer is out. Those who have watched it are saying it has the typical Mani Ratnam signature to it in terms of the characterization but his stunning visual effects are missing. The biggest drawback to the film is the background score from A R Rahman so let us wish he made it up with some songs.

On the brighter side, the star cast is amazing and the plotline also seems to be interesting. Our speculation is, it is going to be a battle between three brothers to sit on the throne established by their father. Arvind Swamy looks powerful, Simbu looks alright, Vijay Sethupathi is stunning. Overall, the trailer is somewhat alright though it is missing the Mani Ratnam magic.
